Northern Physical Therapy, a physical and occupational therapy rehabilitation facility, will be hosting their annual Summer Boot Camp Program for student athletes in the Coopersville area.
Geared towards students in grades 9-12, this four-week program focuses on increasing overall strength, flexibility, endurance, agility, and coordination skills. There will also be a special emphasis on teaching the importance of sports nutrition and injury prevention.
Marcus Ribant, Athletic Coordinator for Coopersville Schools and Boot Camp coordinator, wants to stress the importance of fitness and nutrition in students today. "I want to prepare kids for a challenging, yet fun, four week session at Boot Camp," Ribant said.
Boot Camp will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from June 18 through July 20 with no camp the week of July 4. High school students will attend camp from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Camp will be held at the Coopersville High School Auxiliary Gym and track, and the cost for the program is $60 for the first child and $50 for the second child in the same family.
