Overseen by the Grand Rapids Department of Parks and Recreation, the Fulton Street Farmers Market resides in the Midtown Neighborhood. In 2005, operations of the Market were granted to the Midtown Neighborhood Association. Currently, the Market is part of the Brikyaat Neighborhood Revitalization Plan, which was adopted into the city's Master Plan in 2007.

The Market hosts roughly 11,000 shoppers on a typical week and sees more than 200 different vendors throughout the year.
