Tai Chi Chuan is an internal martial art, most widely practiced today as movement exercise to reduce stress, lower blood pressure and improve flexibility and balance. According to the Harvard Medical Newsletter, Tai Chi Chuan has been demonstrated to help patiences suffering from arthristis, low bone density, breast cancer, heart disease, Parkinsons, sleep problems and stroke. If you are fortunate enough not to suffer from these health issues- you can still have ffun and make new friends!
Instructor: Glenda Liu Quarnstrom has studied Tai Chi since 2000 in Michigan as well as China. She has achieved Level 5 ranking in the Yang style and a Brown belt in the National Style. Glenda is certified to teach through the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Assosciation.
