FASCHING DANCE PARTY aka GERMAN STYLE MARDI GRAS
"Fasching" means carnival in southern Germany, where they traditionally celebrate the last days prior to Lent by throwing a big party! The time honored Fasching Nacht (carnival night) Dance includes good food, great music and COSTUMES! Yes, just as in New Orleans, Germans celebrate carnival night in costume. Let your imagination soar! Escape the drudgery of the Michigan winter for awhile and party, party, party! This fun event is open to the public and we encourage one and all to come eat, play and dance! Families are welcome, kids under 13 free!
This year a variety of authentic German and American Appetizers will be included in the admission price. Soft drinks included and you are welcome to "BYOB" responsibly.
Music will be provided by SQUEEZE BOX (www.squeezeboxband.com). This band plays German and American music with a contemporary twist and are known throughout the area. Please reserve 8-10 person tables in advance. More info at http://www.edelweissclubgr.com
