Great Lakes Shipwrecks, Storms and StoriesStarting November 10 visitors to the Grand Rapids Public Museum can delve into the secrets of the "inland seas" when Great Lakes Shipwrecks, Storms and Stories opens November 10, 2012 on the Museum's 3rd floor. They will see recovered artifacts and learn the personal stories of crews and loved ones on such memorable ships as Le Griffon, the Phoenix, the Carl D. Bradley and the Edmund Fitzgerald. Very real concepts like the "gales of November" are explored along with stories of survival and heroism. Great Lakes Shipwrecks, Storms and Stories is free with general admission.
