July 31, 2012 update: Rock The Rapids, presented by Miller Brewing, Grand Rapids' Original Music Festival, will be more than a weeklong lineup of the nation's best concerts, it will also feature a collection of rides and entertainment that includes an 80-foot Ferris Wheel, a rock climbing wall, snake charmer, sword swallower, contortionist, ice carving, face painting and a wrestling match between a man and an 8-foot, 400 pound alligator named Chub.

"We are excited that we can bring a diverse lineup of music and entertainment to downtown Grand Rapids," said Denny Baxter, founder of Rock the Rapids. "This is just a great opportunity to showcase downtown Grand Rapids and open the streets to every kind of music, entertainment, food and fun imaginable."

Tickets, which are available at the Rock the Rapids box office at Peppino's in downtown Grand Rapids or at rocktherapids.org, include various single-day, two-day and a weeklong pass for only $109.

Grammy award winner Miranda Lambert has firmly made her mark on the country music world. Lambert is not only the reigning and two time winner of the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year award, but each of her four albums have debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Chart. This makes Lambert the first artist in the history of the 47-year chart to have each of her first four albums reach #1.
