Got a Green Thumb…or just a Big Heart? WE NEED YOU!

Come support NextGen and help beautify and renovate two important community areas within Grand Rapids. This summer's Hooky Day IV will be a two-day event on Thursday, June 21 and Friday, June 22. Our partners are Blandford Nature Center and Fulton Street Farmer's Market.

Sign up to help on Thursday with gardening and landscaping outside Fulton Street Farmer's Market. Or help out on either day at Blandford Nature Center with painting, landscaping, and other building needs for outdoor storage.

Thursday, June 21
Shifts are available at both locations: 12 – 3 pm, 3 – 6 pm, or 6 – 9 pm

Friday, June 22
Shifts are available at Blandford Nature Center: 8 – 11 am, 11 am – 2 pm, or 2 – 4 pm

Formed in early 2010, NextGen United Way was created to help ensure the future success of the Heart of West Michigan United Way. Made of a diverse group of young adults in the Grand Rapids area, NextGen's mission is to encourage young adults to give, advocate and volunteer. Over the next year, NextGen will promote awareness for United Way and provide opportunities for young leaders to positively impact their community.
