American Legacies: Preservation Hall Jazz Band & Del McCoury BandThe Preservation Hall Jazz Band derives its name from Preservation Hall, a music venue located in New Orleans' French Quarter. Many of the band's first members performed with jazz pioneers who invented jazz including Buddy Bolden, Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong. These founding artists have passed on lessons of their music to a younger generation who now follow in their footsteps like the current lineup. Tickets: $42 for general public, $40 for FMG members Thursday, July 12, 2012 Starts at 07:00 PMCategories: Frederik Meijer Gardens 1000 E.
