Al Green

An American gospel and soul music singer, Al Green is famous for his 1970's hit singles, "You Oughta Be With Me, "I'm Still In Love With You" and "Let's Stay Together." In 2005, Rolling Stone named him #65 on their "100 Greatest Artists of All Time." After selling more than 20 million records and earning 11 Grammys, Green was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 as "one of the most gifted purveyors of soul music."

His latest LP, Lay It Down, features guests artists Anthony Hamilton, John Legend and Corinne Bailey Rae. Blender Magazine remarked that Green had "created a natural-sounding album with occasional horns and strings, taking cues directly from [his] best old records."
