The Fresh Music Festival at Van Andel Arena *CANCELED*
From the organizers on July 12, 2012: "The Fresh Music Festival, scheduled for Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI regrets to announce that the concert has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances including very low ticket sales.
We greatly appreciate the efforts of our valued and committed media partners, and apologize to our ticket holders for any inconvenience this cancellation caused. Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase."
The Fresh Music Festival is a celebration of the best in R&B, hip-hop, soul and comedy. Founder and creator of the festival, Gary S. Guidry, wanted to bring the best in music to one stage! The event features an outstanding lineup, hosted by Doug E. Fresh, that drops into Van Andel Arena on Thursday, July 19 at 7:30pm.

The first human beatbox in the rap world and still the best of all time, Doug E. Fresh amazes audiences with his note-perfect imitations of drum machines, effects, and samples of hip-hop classics. Fresh is one of the biggest names in rap music and his first single "The Show/La Di Da Di," instantly became a hip-hop classic.
One of the best selling Platinum R&B artists of our time, Keith Sweat blazed the charts with many Top 10 hits including "I Want Her" (#1 R&B/#5 Pop). Sweat continued to rise with his sophomore album I'll Give All My Love To You, which hit #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Keep It Comin' debuted in the Top 20.
K-Ci & JoJo
Still one of the hottest singing duos in the game, K-Ci and JoJo have sold millions of records including those as part of legendary group, Jodeci. The pair has landed a host of award nominations over the years. Today, they continue to sing all the hits while continuing to leave the ladies wanting more.
Guy rose to fame with hits like "Groove Me," "I Like" "Piece of My Love," "Let's Chill" and "Do Me Right". In 1992, Aaron Hall collaborated with Charlie Wilson on the soundtrack to the hit film, Boomerang. Guy recently united and are rocking the 'New Jack' sound that we all love.
SWV scored a string of top ten R&B hits such as "I'm So Into You", "Right Here", "Downtown", "Weak", "Anything" and "Your always on My Mind," establishing the trio as a commercial force in the 90's. SWV is one the world's top selling female R&B groups and is one of the hardest working female groups in the entertainment industry today.
