Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival's Will Power Summer Camp

Helping campers to develop their creativity and fearlessly explore their imagination are just two of the goals that Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival will achieve in their first-ever summer day camp, Will Power. This camp, run by theatre professionals and featuring teaching artists from west Michigan's own Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, will use Shakespeare's works as a guide to teach campers about theatre concepts and storytelling.

The day camp is broken into two sessions each lasting one week. Session 1 will explore love and laughter in A Midsummer's Nights Dream and runs June 18th-June 22nd. The next week, session 2 will discover the magic and mayhem in Macbeth during June 25th-June 29th. Each session is broken down into two age groups. The 9am-12pm Buckingham group is for students entering grades 1-3. The afternoon is for the Westminster group which meets 1pm-4pm and is for campers entering grades 4-6. Prices for the camp are $100 per camper for one session or $180 per camper if they attend both weeks. There is also a $90 second child discount. There are numerous scholarships available.
