"Paths of Destruction"

"Paths of Destruction" chronicles the Hudsonville/Standale tornadoes of April 3, 1956. You will learn how forecasting today vastly differs from the techniques used in the 1950's. In addition, Ernie will also tell us how astronomical "seeing" is affected by our local weather patterns.

Ernie Ostuno is a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is also the author of "Paths of Destruction: The Story of West Michigan's Worst Natural Disaster - the Tornadoes of April 3, 1956" a book about the tornado outbreak of 1956.

All members and guests are welcome. Following the meeting there will be social time in the bookstore's "Chapbook Cafe."
