Grand Valley to Host Casting Session for MTV's MADE

A crew from MTV's MADE television series will visit Grand Valley State University Friday, April 6. Producers from the show will meet with film and video students and will hold a casting session for students to interview for the series.

MADE is a three-time Emmy award-winning reality television show that provides individuals opportunities to fulfill their dreams, discover their path and find real-world experience.

The casting session for Grand Valley students will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center on the Allendale Campus. Students have to register for a five-minute casting appointment in advance by visiting the Office of Student Life in the Kirkhof Center. One of MADE's producers, Nathan Johnson, will speak with film and video students from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in room 2259 of the Kirkhof Center.

The show used to focus on high school students but Ryan McRae, MADE casting associate, said they decided to focus on college students to provide an opportunity for them to gain real-world experience like finding a dream internship or starting their own business.

The crew will visit other Michigan universities including Oakland, Central Michigan, Ferris State and Wayne State during their visit to Michigan.
