Grand Rapids spends an estimated $2.5 million annually enforceing use and possession of small amounts of marijuana. Our city cannot keep wasting tax payers money and valuable law enforcement resources on this victimless crime.

That is why DecriminalizeGR (DCGR) is petitioning for a city wide ballot initiative that would amend the city charter making marijuana a civil infraction within the city limits. This would mimic Ann Arbor's city charter amendment from 1974 and save GR millions.

On April 20th we will be having a large concert with local bands at the Pyramid Scheme. DCGR will be collecting signatures and spreading information about the campaign and what it means for our city. 100% of the admission fee will be donated to DCGR.
