Milan's Miracle Run 8K Run, 5K Run/Walk, 3K Walk & 1K Kids Run - April 29th, 2012 @ 9:00am

Milan Maria Capobianco was born December 8, 2000. She lived with an enthusiastic spirit, and loved friends, life, fashion, and dance. In December 2007 we received the devastating news that Milan had an inoperable brain tumor. We exhausted all avenues searching for any information that would provide hope.

We came to realize there was none. Although brain tumors are the number one killer in childhood cancer, very little is known and currently the cure has not been found.

As part of the effort to raise awareness and rally support for the cause, Milan's Miracle Run is the first 8k run in West Michigan dedicated to fight pediatric cancer (all proceeds will be used locally) Why 8K? This is to highlight the fact that there are eight primary pediatric cancers.

But our goal is to help all children afflicted with cancer. Pediatric Cancer is the least talked about and in turn the least researched disease. The dollars invested to protect children of our future are limited. Pediatric Cancer receives 30 cents compared to every dollar going to breast cancer. If we can begin to match the ratio, donors will be assured that children and families right here in West Michigan will be the beneficiaries.
