More: Grand Central Market changed ownership earlier this year and is now operated by Cheryl Powell, formerly the Executive Chef at Frederik Meijer Gardens, and her family. Powell's daughter Christina heads up the deli and first made the suggestion to her family about purchasing Grand Central Market, and husband Tom, whose background includes a stint at Gibson's (now Mangiamo!), will manage the wine & beer section. 

Grand Central now offers an expanded deli with sandwiches made from scratch, along with specialty items like Michigan Macaroni & Cheese (with Amish cheese made in Michigan), Salmon & Rice Pilaf, salads, desserts and pies. Ice cream and gelato are also available, along with local fresh produce from Fat Blossom Farm in Allegan and GVSU's student gardens.

After making significant initial changes to the retail space, Powell hopes to add home replacement meals geared toward both condo and apartment residents and tourists by the fall.

Grand Central Market's hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. & Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
