THE B.O.B. PRESENTS HAIR BALL, OCTOBER 22, 2010
Hair Stylists Compete Creatively To Benefit The Helen DeVos Children's Hospital

Grand Rapids, MI (October 4, 2010) - The B.O.B. (i.e. The Big Old Building), known for its landmark status as an entertainment destination in downtown Grand Rapids, is hosting the second annual Hair Ball, Friday, October 22, 2010, 8:00-11:00 p.m. Hair Ball will take place at Eve, the posh, cosmopolitan lounge located on the fourth floor of The B.O.B.

The fashionably hip event, where proceeds will benefit the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, is an exciting competition between hair stylists from local west Michigan salons who will showcase their creativity in two categories: Avant Garde and glamour. Each participating salon has the opportunity to enlist the talent of five of their best stylists per each of their
company's locations to work their magic on one model per category, for which they must also recruit.

Stylists are encouraged free reign when creating their hair masterpieces and outfitting their models. This is an opportunity for each salon to highlight a full arsenal of what they represent and have to offer. Hair and fashion enthusiasts are welcome!

$500 will be awarded for 1st place in both Avant Garde and glamour categories. Hair Ball is a public people's choice event, where ballots count via silent voting.

Admission is $3 at the door. DJ Steve Swift will provide the soundtrack, and will continue into the night, as Eve will open to the general public at 11:00 p.m.
